The Monnit Wi-Fi Motion and Occupancy Sensor uses an infrared sensor to accurately detect movements made by people or large animals within 16.4 ft (5 m) range. It also uses an integrated 802.11 b/g radio to connect to existing Wi-Fi networks and their WEP or WPA(2) security. To top things off, set up is a breeze thanks to the free MoWi Setup Utility and USB programming cable. Both of these can be found in our store and are required for this sensors to function. Finally, this sensor also comes with a detachable high gains antenna that provides a 20-30% increase in range over standard Wi-Fi.
